About AerMet® 100
AerMet® 100 provides high hardness and ultra-high strength combined with exceptional ductility and fracture toughness. The alloy has a minimum tensile strength of 1930 MPa (280 ksi) and a minimum fracture toughness of 100 ksi.
The exceptional combination of hardness, toughness, tensile strength and ductility makes this alloy a candidate for aerospace applications including landing gear, engine shafts and drive shafts.
AerMet® 100 may be considered for use up to about 427°C.
